Length of active phases

The length of active phase is based on the number of shots. There are three groups:

  • short (0 – 4 shots),
  • medium (5 – 8 shots),
  • long (9+ shots).

Short active phase represents the area of mostly anaerobic activity. It lasts up to aprox. 15 seconds, where the CrP sistem has the main role.

Medium active phase represents the area of mostly anaerobic-aerobic activity. It lasts up to aprox. 30 seconds, where the glycolytic sistem has the main role.

Long active phase represents the area of mostly aerobic activity. It lasts more than 30 seconds and the oxidative process has the main role.
